TO OUR NYC SOCCER ACADEMY COMMUNITY
Last Updated: June 15, 2020
A Message to our Youth Camp Community:
From everyone here at the NYC Soccer Academy, it is our deepest hope that this email finds you, your families, and your loved ones safe and healthy.
As we know you are aware, due to safety protocols related to COVID-19, our home location at Columbia University Baker Athletics Complex has been closed from June - August, 2020.
After considering alternative locations and closely monitoring the latest developments regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in NYC, we have made the difficult decision to officially suspend our in-person youth soccer summer camp training.
While we will not be able to host our youth summer camp in-person this year, we remain committed to providing the training you have come to expect from the NYC Soccer Academy in its 25 seasons. We are currently building plans for additional fall programming and other year-round training opportunities. Additionally, we would love to hear from you about your interest in possible virtual summer programming options. To contribute your feedback, please complete the following survey here.
We are so thankful for the continued enthusiasm and support from our NYC Soccer Academy community, and we look forward to meeting you back on the pitch. As of today, we will be closing our youth camp registration waitlist. However, to be the first to hear about all alternative programming, please enter your email to our subscription below.
From all of us at the NYC Soccer Academy, we thank you for your cooperation and for partnering with us to keep our community healthy.
The NYC Soccer Academy Staff
Players will be exposed to technical training to improve their ability on the field. Players will also experience competitive game situations that will help develop and improve the skill and confidence required to succeed at every level. Goalkeepers will be used in all sessions and coached by our experienced staff within their assigned groups.
Our staff is comprised of College, ODP, Club, and High School coaches, along with current and former Columbia soccer players. Our staff blends together a wealth of teaching and playing experience, making us one of the best camps around.
The NYC Soccer Academy is dedicated to enthusiastically making better players of all campers.
Campers must provide their own transportation to and from camp. An optional shuttle bus is available from Columbia University to the Baker Athletics Complex for an additional fee. The bus leaves from 117th and Amsterdam at 8:30 AM and returns to the same location at approximately 3:30 PM (Mon - Thur) & 12:30 (Fri). Space is limited. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
WHAT TO BRING
Lunch (Lunch is not provided - please bring a bag lunch)
Soccer Shoes (turf sneakers or indoor shoes)
Please check the weather forecast each day and dress accordingly. Campers should be prepared with rain gear and a change of clothes on rainy days.
